PHANTASM V THE PHINAL BATTLE

AS WE LEFT OFF IN PHANTASM IV....
The Tall Man, who is holding the bloodied sphere he tore out of Mike's head, disappears through the spacegate"...Reggie stands up and walks toward the gate. ...I'm coming back for ya, Mike", yells Reggie.
Now, the Phinal chapter begins....
Reggie, hesitant at first, leaps into the spacegate and is hurled back into time...
To confront the ultimate evil alone...THE TALL MAN!"
Reggie finds himself at the home of Jebediah Morningside!
He explains who he is and what has happened. Reggie must convince Jebediah
to help them destroy the horror He has unknowingly created! At first, Jebediah is reluctant. A man such as he cannot conceive of such things. For jebediah has devoted his entire life to seeking out what lies beyond death...not creating it!
Reggie explains how, by stepping through the dimesional fork, Jebediah has created the "hell on earth" that he and Mike have been going through all these years. Reggie mentions Mike and how he must return to help his dying friend. "Ah, the confused young man I met earlier", says Jebediah. "His eyes told me his story, I knew he was in peril."
Jebediah agrees to help Reggie and Mike. "If I indeed have created such terrible things, we must end the destruction and death. I must continue my work!
The evil I have created MUST BE STOPPED!"
Jebediah Morningside and Mike return to the lab where the primitive, gear driven machine stands like a huge behemoth. After throwing the lever upward...electricity crashes and sparks! The loud clanking sound is gradually drowned out by a low pitch hum. They both step through the dimensional fork...whooosh!
Reggie runs back to Mike, who is laying on the ground, still weak from the sphere that was ripped out of his head. "Mike, I brought Jebediah back with me...I think he can help us!" Meanwhile, Jebediah, looking around intently at these unfamiliar, strange surroundings, contemplates how to find his alter-ego, the Tall Man. "I must confront my own demons, this monstrosity! This is NOT what I intended to happen. I alone will end all this...", whispers Jebediah.
Just then, the earth trembles in a massive quake. Storm clouds, lightning and thunder roar through the sky. The planet darkens to a crimson red. All around them, living things start to wither and die. Plants, trees and animals all turn to a charred mass of ashes...
Boulders crash down around them and the earth cracks and fissures open and spew steam and lava from the bowels of the planet.
A lone Silver sphere comes from the distance and hovers above Reggie and Mike, who are startled at what is happening around them. It starts to glow and change shape...into the shape of a HUMAN! Jody then appears from the glowing mass and tells them that BOTH Jebediah and the Tall Man cannot exist in the same time and space. If they stay, the earth will certainly be destroyed! In order for the earth to be returned to it's former state, one or both, Jebediah or the Tall Man, must go back through the dimensional fork!
Just then, the familiar hum of the spacegate is heard. Whooosh! The Tall Man appears and confronts the three of them. Jebediah slowly approaches the Tall Man and they exchange some words. "You!", says Jebediah. "No...Us!", says the Tall Man. "You belong in the past...mortal. I am the master of THIS future....!". The Tall Man looks to the left of Jebediah and raises his brow in his signature evil fashion...all at once, his dwarfs and spheres appear and start to close in on the three heroes. For the Tall Man also realizes what will happen if Jebediah stays in this, No ..no..HIS dimension.
The three battle it out with the hoards of sinistar Dwarves. The trio, ducking, as the spheres fly toward them with an all too familiar sound. Reggie, raises his home-made shotgun and takes aim. He misses at first, but the second shot hits it's target. The sphere shatters in the darkened sky. Mike, lying helplessly on the ground, is anable to fight off the three small creatures that are grabbing at his clothes. Jebediah pulls a small, two shot derringer from his cloak and fires at one of the creatures, hitting it in the head. It falls to the ground, dead. Jodi looks at a set of massive boulders that are balancing on a cliff above them and "wills" the ton of rock to loosen and fall. Mike looks up, and rolls out of the way, just in time. SPLAT! The tiny creatures were not quick enough to react! Exhausted, the team regroups for a moment. Jodi speaks to Jebediah, telling him that the only way he can defeat the Tall Man and save the world is by getting BOTH of them to go through the gate together at the same time. Jebediah looks at Jodi and Nods agreeingly, for he knows that in doing so, he will destroy the Evil he is responsible for...and himself as well. "No, there must be another way", shouts Mike. Just then, With too little time to react, the shrill sound of a Killer Sphere is heard. Jebediah turns in the direction of the sound, and as he does, the Sphere is already drilling into his abdomen. Jebediah screams in pain! At that same instant, the Tall Man crouches foreward and grasps HIS abdomen. "Aarrgh!"...he screams. A puzzled look overtakes his face. He pulls his hand away to reveal an oozing yellow puss coming from a strange wound in his stomach! Reggie raises his rifle and smacks the sphere with it's large, wooden handle. It drops from from Jebediah's stomach onto the ground. It wavers for a moment and then shoots off into the darkness. The damage has been done!
Jebediah has been badly wounded...he falls to his knees bleeding! Mike and Reggie crouch down to his aid, attempting to ease the pain. "He can't kill you!" Whispers Jodi. "He'll only destroy himself if he does...". Well, by the look on His face, HE knows it now as well", says Mike. Jebediah looks up at all three of them, then down at his wound. Reggie looks at Mike and shouts...."He ain't gonna win, that Bastard! Not after all this". Reggie and Mike stand up and start walking toward the Tall Man. Reggie holding out his double barreled shotgun firmly. "The phinal game ends here...warriors", growls the Tall Man. "You may have won the battle, but you have lost the war. Now I must take you both!" Jebediah, gathering all the strength left inside him, leaps up, running right in between Reggie and Mike. "Look Out!", shouts Jodi. Jebediah runs straight for the Tall Man and grabs hold of him by the neck. They both fall to the ground...rolling toward the humming spacegate. They stagger to their feet. They look each other in the eyes..."You cannot defeat me!" screams the Tall Man. "I was the fire that burned deep within your soul all this time. Now, it belongs to me...give me what i want!" Jebediah feels a strange, powerful sensation deep within his body. His vintage clothes start to change in color and shape, morphing into a dark, black outfit with a thin, black tie. "NO...this abomination ends NOW!" Shouts Jebediah, as he lunges toward his evil half, pushing both of them into the spacegate. It explodes in a huge fireball!
Reggie is thrown back to the ground. Mike flies backward into the hard, rocky soil in blast of wind and sulpher. The spheres abruptly stop in mid-air, glow bright red and explode, the dwarfs sponateously combust and burn! All over the world, the spacegates explode and close up. Jodi slowly fades into a whirling cloud of dust and disappears. Flash to the Red Planet...The sinistar, tiny inhabitants are running wildly, on fire. In the distance, thousands of small cannisters are melting into the reddish ground. The screams echo through this alternate dimension. Suddenly, it too explodes! Then, silence fills the stale air. The clouds part and rays of light creep through the darkened sky, hitting the ground, freeing it from the darkness. Has the Terror finally been defeated?
Reggie helps Mike up and they both stagger away into the rising sun of a new day. Mike suddenly stops and looks down at something shimmering in the blackened sand... It's Jebediah's pocket watch, broken and cracked. Mike picks it up and looks at reggie..."He gave us back all the time in the world!". Reggie puts his hand above his eyes to shield them from the bright sunlight...."Let's go home, Partner!" he says, with a smile. As the camera pans back to where the gate once stood, a charred, round silver sphere drops from the sky.... It moves slightly. Jody's voice can be heard saying..."It's finally over mike!".... just then, another voice echoes in the distance...
"...HEH, HEH, HEH! IT'S NEVER OVER... BOOOOY!"
